The TestKey application  - is the program that generates a unique key (the analogue of the digital signature), which is the obligatory requirement for authorization  (authentication or identity check) of the orders of the clients sent through the Internetbank, Clientbank or by fax.
The key- is a combination of three groups of figures. The key does not only confirm to bank that the order (for example, the payment) is received from the actual client, but also the fact that the order has not been changed (modified) on its   way from the client to the bank.
Legally speaking, the key is the signature of the client, based on which the bank executes the received order.
The   TestKey application    is available   in two versions: the PC version and the cell phone version.

The TestKey application for the PC.
The bank issues   the TestKey set in an envelope to the client. The set includes a mini -CD with the TestKey application, the transport password and the hard copy of the code tables.
Transport password  protects the  TestKey application from the unauthorized use.
The code tables are  the  alternative for   the  TestKey application, the paper   equivalent of the algorithm of calculation of the  key. generally, the paper  code tables are used for calculating the  key in  absence of the computer of  the client. you  can read   in detail  about use of the code tables here.

! The bank  strotongly recommends  to  keep the  code  table in a safe location.

Use of the TestKey
  The  TestKey application can be    used  in several modes: directly from the replaceable carrier (the  mini-CD, USB storage  device) or,  upon installation, on the personal or office  computer.
to  work directly using the removable disk   (it is recommended if you  work on the public computer), it is enough to choose and to start up the  file TestKey.exe on the replaceable disk.

! The bank  strotongly recommends aginst  installing the   TestKey software onto and  machine accessible for general public .

For installation  of the TestKey software recommended for home  and office computers ) it is  enouh to isert the mini -CD into the  CD or  DVD-ROM drive. The a[ppkication  will strart  up automatically. After vthe set up is  started please choose the istallation  language and  press  "Install". The application will copy  itself  from the  mini-CD onto the hard disk of the computer allowing  you to work with it without the mini-CD. if the setup does not start automatically, select and  launch the file  "Setup.exe"  on the  mini-CD.

ATTENTION-! The bank strongly advises  to store the envelope with the transport password in a safe place separately from the  TestKey software. After installation of the program onto the personal computer or a USB device , it is recommended to change the transport password for the new password.

The  TestKey application allows to generate the key:

• in the manual mode. For this purpose  open the  TestKey application (a dark blue key icon will appear  in the right bottom corner of the screen) then  enter the parameters of the order (for  example,  the date, the sum and the currency ) and  press the tab to  generate the key. The generated  key will appear  in the  window  of the program;
• In an automatic (background) mode when  using the  Internetbank. on signing the order in the Internetbank  pressing the tab  of the calculator will  open the  TestKey application, which, after entering  the password, automatically calculates the key according to the data  entered into the form of the order.

Note: In the manual mode the  TestKey application requires entering  the password before generation of the  key for  each order sent to the  bank. For convenience of the client we advise, prior to the beginning of work in the  Internetbank, to launch  the    TestKey application. In this case signing of the orders will pass without additional request  of the password, which  is convenient for sending a large quantity  of the orders.

ATTENTION! to prevent the  non-authorized use of your  TestKey application after finishing of you work  with the  TestKey application in  the  manual mode it is obligatory  to close the aaplication (the dark blue key icon  in the  right bottom corner of the screen should disappear).

The  TestKey application  for the cell phone.
  The  TestKey software is available in the cell phone  version. The software  allows to:

• calculate the  key using a cell  phone;
• in real time sign the payment  orders prepared  in the  Internetbank  (those  located in the "to be signed " folder.

To  work with the software you must have  the access  to the  Internetbank and the TestKey application for the personal computer.
To install the TestKey onto the cell  phone you have to  log onto the  Mbank - wap.lbb.lv,  section  "Mibile Bank", choose the section  "Start  TestKey", in the following window  enter the  transport password  (it is printed  on the envelope containing the mini-CD with the TestKey software  ), enter the  new password , select the  language and  press "Download" tab . then follow the instructions on the display   of the cell   phone .
The software will be installed in the cell phone in the storage location reserved for the software. This storage location can be called differently, depending on the model of the cell phone.
To start using the TestKey application on your cell phone launch the application from the menu and enter the password you have chosen during installation of the application.

MANUAL

 for using tables for calculation of test keys

 

1. Test keys are used for identification of payment orders and other messages sent to the bank by Client.

  

2. Test key structure: а-b-c, where

а - a prefix 
   (serial number of test key in form of a whole number from 1 to 99),

b - a calculated number,

c - number of version of test key tables, indicated on the first page of tables.

 

3. In order to obtain the calculated number b the following numbers from the tables are summed up:

 

· a fixed number,

 

· numbers from table 1, are chosen on the basis of whole numbers of payment amount,

 

· number from table 2, is chosen on basis of payment month,

 

· number from table 3, is chosen on basis of day of payment,

 

· number from table 4, is chosen on basis of payment type,

 

· number from table 5, is determined by payment currency,

 

· number from table 6, is determined by prefix,

Tables contain combinations of whole numbers only.

 

Notes:
A test key must be provided for any message, related to Client's current account (payment order, change of payment order details, revocation of payment order etc.).

To prefix in table 6 corresponds a rotational number, included into calculation of test key.

In order to avoid repeated used of a prefix in calculation of test key by means of test key tables, Client can write test key calculation date or make another mark he prefers in table 6 against each prefix. For each new message to the bank a new prefix should be used.

 

If all prefixes from table 6 have been used, Client can start using them repeatedly from the beginning of the table.
